  • Mt. Nebo Chapel. A side chapel in the church dedicated to Moses. This is only the latest of a long series of churches built on this site. Under a tin roof, the new structure protects original walls and floor tiles, some of which date from the Roman occupation of this part of the Holy Land. Mt.   • Mt. Nebo Altar. The central pews and altar in the church at the top of Mt. Nebo, dedicated to Moses on the site the Bible identifies as the mountain from which Moses first saw the Promised Land.
