Mesa Verde, Colorado, USA. The dwelling now known as "Square Tower House" occupies a sheltered indentation in the cliff face, rather than a cave. It was also built and occupied by the ancestral puebloans who occuped the "cave dwellings" at Mesa Verde National Park. The cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde were built by ancestral puebloans in the period A.D. 600 to A.D. 1300. © Rick Collier
